Transit Fees

Transit Fees are road user charges levied on heavy, foreign-registered vehicles whose net mass exceeds 2300 kg.

VID Collects Transit Fees on Behalf of ZINARA

The Vehicle Inspection Department (VID) is mandated to collect Transit Fees on behalf of ZINARA at all ports of entry and inland depots across Zimbabwe. Collections are subsequently remitted to the Road Fund administered by ZINARA.

1. Fee Schedule

Transit fee charges per 100 km (or part thereof) are as follows:

2. How Payments Are Made

Ports of Entry

VID collects Transit Fees on behalf of ZINARA at all ports of entry into Zimbabwe.

Inland Depots & Tollgates

At inland VID depots or at selected ZINARA tollgates across the country.
