License Your Vehicle

ZINARA manages the licensing of all classes of motor vehicles in Zimbabwe. Vehicle licensing contributes directly to road maintenance and infrastructure development.

Licensing Requirements

You can license your vehicle by visiting a ZINARA office in person, or conveniently online through the ZINARA Self-Service Portal.

Vehicle Registration Number

Your VRN is required to identify and process your vehicle.

Products

Select from Vehicle License, Insurance, and Radio License (optional).

Fees

Applicable fees vary by vehicle class and licensing period. USD and ZIG accepted.

Locate your nearest ZINARA office
Offices are available in all major towns and cities across Zimbabwe.

Bring your Vehicle Registration Number (VRN)
Your VRN is required to look up your vehicle details.

Select your products
Choose Vehicle License, Insurance, and/or Radio License for your preferred term.

Pay the applicable fees
Fees vary by vehicle class and period. USD cash, RTGS, EcoCash, and InnBucks accepted.

Collect your license disc
Your licensing disc is issued immediately at the office.

Log in to the portal
Sign in with your registered email and password.

Register your vehicle
Go to My Vehicles and add your Vehicle Registration Number (VRN).

Go to Products & Services
Select Vehicle Licensing from the Products & Services menu.

Enter vehicle & owner details
Provide your VRN, owner ID, ID type, and select license frequency.

Select currency & review quote
Choose USD or ZIG, then confirm the fee, vehicle details, and validity period.

Add to cart & checkout
Pay using Visa/Mastercard or ZIG via Zimswitch.

Collect disc or request delivery
Select a collection office at checkout, or opt for courier delivery to your address.

In terms of Statutory Instrument 67 of 2024, the following fees apply with effect from 28 October 2024.

ZINARA accepts payment in USD cash, RTGS, EcoCash, InnBucks, and other approved mobile money platforms at all service points.

Penalties for Non-Compliance

Failure to licence your vehicle is a criminal offence. Vehicles without a valid licence disc are liable to fines and impoundment by law enforcement authorities.
