01 — Vehicle Licensing

License Your Vehicle

ZINARA is mandated to license all motor vehicles operating on Zimbabwe's roads. Licensing is available at all provincial ZINARA offices and authorised agents across the country.

  • Current roadworthy certificate
  • Valid third-party insurance

02 — Toll Collection

Toll Collection

ZINARA operates over 50 toll plazas across Zimbabwe's major highways. Revenue collected at toll gates is channelled directly into road maintenance and rehabilitation programmes.

04 — T.O.A.F Permits

Abnormal Load Permits

Transit of Abnormal Freight (T.O.A.F) permits are required for any vehicle or load exceeding standard legal weight, width, height, or length limits on Zimbabwe's road network.

Submit Application
Apply at ZINARA Head Office in Highlands, Harare with full load specifications and route details.

Route Assessment
ZINARA engineers assess the proposed route for bridge load limits and road surface suitability.

Fee Calculation
Permit fees are calculated based on load dimensions, weight, and distance of the approved route.

Permit Issued
Upon payment, the T.O.A.F permit is issued specifying approved route, dates, and escort requirements.
